Time is precious, value it
One who cares time, time also care them.
Everyone of you should know about the importance of time. We all know that time is very precious. If you ask someone that what are you doing? Some people reply that I am just doing time pass. But no one knows that this time will not come again.
I will co-relate my views with a story
This story is about a lazy student. Due to his laziness, he never valued time and used to waste time. Then what happened to him, this is what has been told in this story.
A wise monk lived in an ashram situated in the forest. In the longing for knowledge, students from far and wide used to come to him and get education by staying in the ashram in his company.
One of the students who got education in the ashram was very lazy. He had a bad habit of wasting time and postponing today's work for tomorrow. The monk was aware of this. That's why he wanted the student to leave laziness and understand the importance of time before leaving the ashram after completing his education.
For this purpose, one day in the evening, he called the lazy student to him and gave him a stone and said, "Son! This is not an ordinary stone, but a Paras stone. Whatever iron object it touches, it turns into gold. I am very happy with you. That's why I am giving you this stone for two days. I will not be in the ashram for these two days. I am going to the house of a friend of mine who lives in a neighboring village. When I come back, I will take this Paras stone from you. Before that, make as much gold as you want."
Giving Paras stone to the student, the monk went to his friend's village. Here the student was very happy to see Paras stone in his hand. He thought that by this I would make so much gold that I would not need to work for the rest of my life and I would be able to live my life happily. He had two days. He thought that there were still two full days left. I do that one day I will rest. I will be making gold for the next whole day. In this way he spent a day resting.
When the second day came, he thought that today I will go to the market and bring a lot of iron and touch Paras stone and make it gold. But this work will not take much time. That's why I eat a full meal first. Then I will start making gold.
As soon as he had a full meal, he started falling asleep. In such a situation, he thought that now I have time till evening. I sleep for a while. After waking up, I will do the work of making gold. Then what? He fell into a deep sleep. When he woke up, the sun had set and two days had passed. The sadhu had returned to the ashram and was standing in front of him.
The monk said, "Son! With the sunset, two days have passed. You return me that stone stone."
What does the student do? Due to laziness, he had wasted invaluable time as well as an opportunity to earn money. He had realized his mistake and also understood the importance of time. He started to regret. He decided at that very moment that from now on he would never be lazy.
That's how we should value time. If we do not value of time, it will go from our hands like sand go away from hand. It's true time and tide wait for none.
